Planning, Monitoring&Evaluation, and Financing Directorate General

Planning, M&E and Health Financing General Directorate General coordinates the Ministry’s work in Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation, Health Financing, Partners’ Coordination and Health Information Systems through Policy Development, Advocacy, Research and Resources Mobilization.

Establishes Coordination and Partnership with Stakeholders

  • Developes and strengthens a relationship with stakeholders and organize meetings for annual review and reviews at the end of programs. 
  • Ensure orientations and resolutions of Planning, Health Financing and Information System (PHFIS) Technical Working Groups are well implemented. 

Ensures the decentralized entities are implementing properly Health related policies

  • Coordinate the formulation, update, review harmonization and implementation of policies, strategies, protocols, norms, guidelines and standards for planning and Monitoring & Evaluation and ensure their use.
  • Conduct the development and regular reviews of action plans of the MOH, its departments and units.
  • Ensure that the national health policies /priorities are highly considered in the sector planning process.
  • Draw, document, disseminate and apply good practices and lessons learnt in new and revised planning. 
  • Provide MOH timely and accurate data for Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation & Health Information System.
  • Provide capacity building to District and hospitals in areas of planning, data management and M&E.
  • Coordinates out-going reports of the health sector. 
  • Provides capacity building to Districts and hospitals in areas of planning, data management and M&E.
