Jhpiego Global President Commends Rwanda Government/ Ministry of Health’s partnership
Jhpiego’s Global president and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Leslie Mancuso has commended the Rwanda Government and Ministry of Health successful partnership that has yielded great benefits in promoting Health among Rwandans.
Mancuso made the remarks at a dinner she hosted at Heaven Restaurant, Kigali in recognition of the excellent partnership.
“For us to save lives, women and families comes down to ingredients that allow us to be successful and without question the first ingredient is the Government of Rwanda and Ministry of Health’s incredible leadership,” said Dr. Mancuso.
Talking to partner organization representatives and government officials who attended the dinner, Dr.Mancuso confessed that the Family planning progress in Rwanda was impressive and the credit goes out to the government.
Minister of Health Dr. Diane Gashumba also had great things to say about the partnership’s success.
“Jhpiego has worked hard to initiate the postpartum Family Planning program in Rwanda which has been helpful to the Ministry of Health. The program started in Jhpiego supported district and made us scaleup in all Hospitals countrywide,” said Dr.Gashumba.
Jhpiego is an international, non-profit health organization affiliated with The Johns Hopkins University. For 40 years and in over 155 countries, Jhpiego has worked to prevent the needless deaths of women and their families. Jhpiego works with health experts, governments and community leaders to provide high-quality health care for their people. Jhpiego has operated in Rwanda since 2004.
